    Kursbeschreibung

    The Cisco ASR 5000 SGSN Administration and Configuration Version 12.2 instructor-led course offered by Learning Services provides detailed instruction on how to manage, monitor, configure, and administer the Cisco® ASR 5000 Series Aggregation Services Router to function as a Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN) in a Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) network environment.

     

    Participant Material Requirements

    Participants are required to bring the following materials to this training course:

    • Laptop or notebook computer with
      • Terminal emulation program (such as PuTTY available at www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/) capable of Telnet and Secure Shell (SSH) Protocol
      • IEEE 802.11 (A,B,G,N) Wi-Fi interface
        Participants are responsible for all travel and expenses.

    Upon completing this course, the learner will be able to meet these overall objectives:

    • Understanding and using the StarOS™ command line interface (CLI)
    • Understanding contexts and context selection processes
    • Performing initial system configuration, including administrative user, hardware redundancy, and remote management functions
    • Performing basic configurations for 3G and 2G SGSN services
    • Applying software upgrades, session and feature use licenses, and configuration files
    • Configuring bulk statistics and systems/event logging
    • Troubleshooting techniques for both hardware and software
