Kursbeschreibung
Acquire the skills to solve common HP NonStop™ series server problems easily in this 3-day course. You will be introduced to the new NonStop Advanced Architecture, basic software functionality, including Open System Management (OSM), HP Tandem Advanced Command Language (TACL), and Subsystem Control Facility (SCF) for system, disk, tape drive and communications subsystems. After completing this course you will be able to monitor your system, subsystems and applications running on it, change the state of basic system components, and learn to deal effectively with a wide range of common problems.

At the conclusion of this course the student should be able to:
- Provide an overview of the NonStop series server.
- Describe computing environments and operator tasks
- Provide an overview of OSM, TACL, and SCF.
- Demonstrate the use of TACL, FUP, and SCF commands
- Describe how to view, modify, and correct security, disks, tapes, processes, and applications related problems
- Demonstrate how to view, modify, and correct system spooler and print job problems.
- Describe how to view, modify, and correct communications subsystems related problems
- Know how identify and deal with operational problems involving processes, files, disks, tape drives, printers, communication subsystems, applications, CPUs, and the entire system
