    This course provides the knowledge on MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) Ethernet-based transport solutions. Starting from transport networks issues, it analyzes architectures, protocols and procedures for the transport  based on Ethernet technology, designed for LANs, but now increasingly and  widely used in metropolitan and geographic transmissions.

    • Provider Backbone Bridging (PBB) and PBB-TE 802.1Qay

    Simulations and protocols trace analysis to verify special procedures, such as Ethernet automatic recovery in case of link failure using Spanning Tree Protocol.
